Focus and Scope

Jurnal Pengelolaan Pertambangan (JPP) is dedicated to advancing scientific knowledge and practical applications in the field of mineral and energy mining. The journal welcomes high-quality research articles, case studies, and reviews that address the challenges, innovations, and best practices in mining and its related disciplines. JPP serves as a platform for academics, researchers, practitioners, and policymakers to exchange knowledge that supports the development of efficient, responsible, and sustainable mining industries.

The scope of JPP covers a wide range of topics, including but not limited to:

  • Mining Engineering: exploration methods, mine planning and design, drilling and blasting techniques, geomechanics, mine ventilation, mineral processing, and technological innovations that enhance mining efficiency and safety.

  • Mineral and Energy Resource Management: strategies for resource utilization, optimization, and conservation, including integrated approaches to managing mineral and energy resources for long-term availability.

  • Mining Economics and Management: project feasibility studies, financial modeling, risk assessment, cost analysis, investment evaluation, and effective management practices to ensure the economic viability of mining projects.

  • Sustainability in the Mining Industry: practices and innovations that minimize environmental impact, promote responsible resource extraction, and integrate corporate social responsibility (CSR) with sustainable development goals.

  • Reclamation, Environment, and Mining Policy: research on land reclamation and post-mining land use, mine closure planning, environmental protection, policy frameworks, legal regulations, and governance mechanisms in the mining sector.

Through this scope, JPP aims to contribute not only to academic discourse but also to practical solutions for the mining industry. By promoting scientific insight for responsible mining, the journal supports the development of policies, technologies, and practices that balance economic growth with environmental sustainability and social responsibility.
